nige1968
Sorry, I've spent so long trying to get an answer to this off the internet that I might as well have taken the bass apart and measured it but ... Does anyone happen to know for sure whether the current American Standard Jazz Bass with the lightweight tuners (XPS-1C?) has the usual 11/16 (17.4mm) holes, or the smaller 14mm ones? A million zillion thankyous in anticipation
gjones
All of the replacement necks you can buy such as Warmoth, Allparts and Mighty Mite are sold with 17.5 mm holes for the tuners. So I would assume standard USA basses would have the same. I know Some Japanese basses have smaller tuner holes, as I've owned a couple in the past and you could tell they were pretty obviously smaller, just by looking at them. nige1968
Thanks! Yes I'm buying a replacement neck and was asked to specify. Came to the conclusion that if I ordered standard size I'd manage to find something to fit.
