voxpop
If I was 17 again I would join. My kind of 80's music. They were the days, dyed black crimped hair, black makeup and heavy black coats..... Now I'm a balding old fart into jazz and quiet music. How sad.... Why do we have to grow up.
lou24d53
Everything on that site these days seems to be "metalcore", "post-core" or "post-metalcore"... I just wish I knew what it all meant!
Happy Jack
Which metal core is best for welding?
tonyquipment
Joy division is okay... I dunno about the rest though.. Bat-core rock-core gunge etc..!?
NancyJohnson
I find it reassuring that a 17 year old is quoting Specimen in an advert. That alone deserves a thumbs up. What a band. New CD out too! P
Ruiner
http://en.wikipedia....cave_%28club%29 Saw that ad this morning and thought it was refreshing to see a young whipper snapper whose idea of goth doesn't begin and end with marilyn manson. Good luck to them. Edited May 9, 2013 by Ruiner
Dandelion
That would be ideal for me, alas I am t0o old. Next time I wear corpsepaint it will be for real. Surprise he didn't mention Fields of the Nephilim, or Early Sisters of Mercy, as both bands have amazing bassists.
solo4652
Well, you live an learn. In my ignorance, I thought the JMB poster was referring to Bruce Wayne's batcave as a sort of handy shorthand for goth music. The Wikipedia link educates me. thunderbird13
My missus used to go to the batcave and I used to the same place when it was a sleaze rock club ( Decadence I think it was called ) We walked past it last month and of course its all boarded up now and will probably be turned into flats or a supermarket
Dr M
It's the Goth rock/post punk bit that confuses me. Or maybe my understanding (what understanding? ) of those genres is a bit out.
Everything on that site these days seems to be "metalcore", "post-core" or "post-metalcore"...
+1. Since the singer-songwriter I was playing with had to move back up North (well, Midlands) I've been on the look out for something new. I don't know whether JMB just brings out the cynical side of me, but I'm yet to find any ad I'm interested in replying to.
