So, I've been thinking (Yes, run, run for your life!). Remember my Miltyman Jazz Musicman crossover bass? Well, it's been on my mind more recently, and I've decided it's going to be a great bass! (Yes, it really is as simple as that! :D). So i've been thinking about adding a piezo pickup in the bridge. My question is how do you install one? Can you hook them up to the standard preamp in the bass?

With piezos, the impedance load on them is really important, needs to be really high, so would need to check the impedance on the preamp. I've jsut used a piezo bridge, and a Super hard on style buffer.

Cheers. But is there any way to run a piezo preamp in conjunction with a standard electro-magnetic pickup preamp? This idea is getting pretty complex, but if I have the money for this, I seriously am going to do it, because I just like to experiment with this stuff.

Bumping this up. Looking for more info on Piezo pickups. Things I want to know is - what is a good one for bass? How/where is it in stalled (Would rather not have to install it in special bridge saddles)?
