tedmanzie Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 i've just replaced all the grub screws on my bridge - string height adjusters. i deliberately bought shorter screws so they would sit a little shy of the top, as i like to rest my palm there. they are the correct size but i wondered if i could put anything on the thread to stiffen them a bit? i like the idea of them being a little more firm than they are. tommorichards Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 i drop a bit of superglue on them as i had one that kept vibrating free. Drop of superglue, even pound shop stuff, should work Quote
BILL POSTERS Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Warm candle wax, just a little bit on the thread. Works well with iron dust cores and suchlike. Makes them feel firmer to turn but wont go hard. Or a mate of mine used to use araldite resin for the same thing, just the resin mind, no hardener. but its probably too messy for what you want to do. Quote
