dincz
This is the blog of my younger brother and part time luthier. I've been trying to coax a bass out of him for at least 20 years but still only hollow things with 6 strings. http://woodwithstrings.blogspot.com
Grangur
Hmm. I recon you should compromise.. a hollow thing with 4 strings maybe? Or, a hollow thing with 6 FAT strings? Either way, he's doing some great work and either of the above would be a piece to be really proud of.
JTUK
Looks great, but maybe a bass is outside his comfort zone. Depends how part time he is.... and whether he percieves a bodged attempt at a bass might be a blot on his body of work..?? Or, he just doesn't have the time for a project he is not interested in..?? SpaceChick
Talent is an interesting concept! I have one younger sister..... I have always been the creative one (music, acting, cooking etc) whilst she has been the intelligent thinking one. Also she has amazing talents when it comes to being a Mum, she is awesome and I don't know where she gets her patience, strength and energy from. So I look at my sister and think she is amazing and is a proper grown up.... Where as I am still an overgrown teenager mucking about!!
