so far in my 2 days of bassing I've learnt of the great divide betwixt traditional and modern basses. Who'd of thunk it? I went modern with an Ibby SR700. I likes it I does.

Hello!

Yup, and J or a P will be in your possession at some point in the future. Every bassist goes through a J or P phase. Although, it can be hard to find a really good one if you don't have a lavish budget. Not impossible, just difficult (IMO).
