I had a set of those Steve Harris strings. Cost me around £30 and the E sting broke whilst I was putting it round the tuner. I only took the strings off to put lemon oil on the fret board.

I have not bought Rotosounds since.

The Steve Harris strings nearly put me off flats for life. I love roto rounds but they just don't make nice flats.

My SH has D'Addario Prosteels on. The SH strings were on it for a year but are now on my JV P.

The only flats I've ever tried were rotosounds and they didn't do much for me.

They sounded like my roundwounds after six months of play...

I tend to use D'addario Prosteels or Warwick red labels these days.
