The 60's Epiphone guitars seem to be commanding large prices these days I assume that the basses are effectively Gibson basses like their guitar counterparts so it may not be a bad price for it

Is this the same or similar model?

I understand that these were Matsumoku made (that's what i've read on the net but i could be well be wrong) so this one looked like a good buy.

I could understand it if it was U.S. made Epiphone but this was made in Japan.
