mikehalliwell
Hi all. Just inherited this bass from my bass player who got it in part exchange from somone who didn't remember any detail about it re:dates/model name etc. [attachment=135181:pbass.jpg] [attachment=135185:P1480469.JPG] [attachment=135184:P1480468.JPG] Need to give it a good overhaul, particularly the electrics which are active and rather scratchy/humming. Could do with some help to narrow down it's ID before I embark on sourcing parts. What I know/think: It's roughly 1990, Mexican Fender Precision w/Jazz pick-ups, Active electrics, 2x stack pots translucent white, possibly 'Special' or 'Deluxe'. It's possible (don't get too upset) that I might have to rip out the active electrics and replace with straight-forward passive Jazz in order to get it on stage and working.. thoughts on this also appreciated. i.e. any real benefits in having active electrics? Thanks Mike Edited May 20, 2013 by mikehalliwell
Old Horse Murphy
It's a Fender Cowpoke bass
