Telebass Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Another bassist for the big gig in the sky. RIP. Quote
jezzaboy Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 (edited) That is really sh*t! Trevor was a great bass player and a clip of him on the whistle test with Bowie doing queen bitch made me want a Mustang. All our icons are passing away. RIP Trevor. Edited May 21, 2013 by jezzaboy Quote

ezbass Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Sad, very sad. I loved playing his lines when I was in a Bowie tribute. RIP. Quote
Lozz196 Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Bad news, he was a really good bassist, some great rhythmic work on Bowies material. Quote
Dr.Dave Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 i started a thread in OT re. Trevor's death - sorry everybody , never saw this one. Quote
pete.young Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 I'm saddened by this, Hunky Dory was formative stuff for me. Cancer is a bastard, what can we do to beat this disease? Quote
rogerstodge Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Supported Uriah Heep in Germany on many occasions, Trevor was a smashing bloke. I'm devastated... Quote
ash Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 http://www.classicrockmagazine.com/news/trevor-bolder-dead-at-62/ Here's an article about him - a sad day an inspirational player. Quote
Kinder Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Very sad news. I recently learned Ziggy for my current covers band - what a lovely bassline to play. Quote
ShergoldSnickers Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Desperately sad news. I was in a band with his brother Andy in the late 70s. I lasted two weeks before they moved on. Quote
Badass Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Remember seeing you live many years ago with the spiders and being bowled over by the sound you had. R.I.P. Trevor. Quote
casapete Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Awful news. Trevor was such an inspirational player and person, especially to people such as myself growing up in the Hull area. The Spiders were our local heroes, and for me Trevor and his two brothers are legends. Sadly Andy (the youngest and a superb guitar player) passed away recently, leaving just Ian now, himself a brilliant guitarist too. Trev and his brothers used to sometimes call in at the pub where I play on Thursdays, and he was very friendly and not 'big time' at all, with a great humour and attitude. A lovely bloke who will be sadly missed. RIP Trev. Quote
Conan Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Bugger RIP to an iconic bass player and (from all accounts) top bloke. Quote
