Epiphone Thunderbird neck dive

Hi guys, does anyone know if the Epi thunderbird neck dives as much as the Gibbo version? Thanks

I`ve only played one Gibbo, and it didn`t suffer as bad, hardly at all in fact. Probably due to being made of mahogany, which did unfortunately contribute to the whole instrument being a lot heavier than the Epis I`ve had.

The older Epis did tilt like crazy.

Worth asking about the Epi pros also - neck-through, different woods, might also tilt less.

Modern Gibson 'birds have the strap button on the neck heel and don't suffer neck dive as badly. They still tilt though if you don't use the arm rest

Edit: Tilt as in the top edge of the body tends to fall away from you slightly i.e. along the X axis rather than the Y axis

Wow, that is not to be taken lightly!

The neck dive does not bother me too much on T birds...my right arm technique nullifies it.
