Stunning slap bass, really beautiful and musical, also superbly executed. I love this guy, Stephen Jay, never heard of him before today, he was Weird Al's bassist.

Good player...I also grew to hate slapping in the 80's when I worked in a music shop and everyone tried to play like Mark King but this is very tasty.

Wicked note choices aren't they!

I like this too, although it's more circusy, but still tasty.

I don't "trust" a bass payer/dep who doesn't like slap bass, its too much fun. you end up with a dullard who loves Flat strings and makes excuses for wrong notes being their "tone" if I was looking for a dep it would be a hi fi player every time. they isn't lazy brother.am I still talking crap?( could be)

It is just music... if you put the part in and it doesn't come off.... then you've failed.

There aren't many places in a song that anything more than a fill will work ..unless it is an out and out slap riff
and then you really need the groove...

It is like most solo-type elements, if you go for it, you better have something to say..

Slap is appalling, However I do like that little thing Pino did on "Come back and stay" but other than that YUK!
