franzbassist
I fancy something that just gives a hint of breakup, I don't want tons of overdrive, just warm subtle fuzz that is more obvious the harder you play. It must be a normal pedal size (i.e. roughly equivalent to a Boss) and it must be 9V centre negative so I can run it off my One Spot. Suggestions? voxpop
How about an Ibanez TS9 b. It's just as you described. Subtle overdrive with a hint of fuzz and very sensitive to the players touch.
hamfist
What you need, sir, is the Wounded Paw Black Sheep pedal I currently have for sale ! Exactly what you need.
franzbassist
Darkglass seem to get a lot of love.
Lozz196
DHA VT pedals - they do exactly as required. You can get the standard overdrive pedal, or go a bit further and get a full EQ/DI pedal which still has drive on it. They do a great job of "furring" the sound of a clean amp. Sibob
Almost anything from Fuzzrocious They're slightly bigger boxes, but u could request a smaller box if custom ordering Also the Xotic BB Bass Pre is an excellent choice! Si
dudewheresmybass
Hardwire cm2 tube drive and ts9b are the obvious two, but I have had some reasonable sounds from the mxr m80, the bod 50 by chord, the phat phuk and a few others I don't recall at the mo
EskimoBassist
My vote would also be for the BB Preamp - very powerful 2 band eq too.

Kev
If a bit if warmth is all you need, have a look at the Phat Phuk B
BigBassBob
I'd got for the BB. The Phat Phuk is good but the BB is more versatile, can get pretty phat and do that Jack Bruce thing with the gain up and treble rolled back a bit.
Jack
Personally, the Dod 250. You can't have mine, but you can have my Mooer Green Mile if you want. That would work great too.

paul_5
I'd say DHA VT1. Might be slightly bigger footprint than you're after but it's WELL worth the size. They're the canine's testicles! I think they a use 500mA supply, but the 1spot delivers 1700mA, so that shouldn't be a problem. Newer ones use centre negative, but the older ones use centre positive, this one should see you right... http://www.davehallamps.co.uk/page55aa.html Edited May 30, 2013 by paul_5

If so, you couldn't power this from a One Spot. EDIT - Checked the link, turns out it does accept DC power which is a first for me, however it prefers 12v to 9v, so would still recommend a separate isolated 12v power supply to power such a pedal. paul_5
Nah, it's 9-12v DC. Nice!
