BassInMyFace
just had a thought, my DB tail piece looks pretty naff. its a big chunky lump of metal. will i notice much of a difference if i upgrade? any recommendations?
jakenewmanbass
I had an antoni bought for me which lives in the van of one of my bread and butter gigs. I changed the tail piece from metal to an old wood one I had and it sounded loads better in my view. The metal gave a sort of clanky top end to the strings that I really disliked. The wood really softened that, so with a set of silverslaps it now sounds pretty thunky and woody, which is perfect for that gig. Lots of fast 2 feels. oggiesnr
I've had a carbon fibre replacement on my Antoni (£25) and it made a big difference. Steve
