Unaccountably drawn to this bass

As a fender fan boy and avowed hater of coffee table fancy wooden tops I should hate this bass. But I don't. I really think its a great looking piece. On sale at BassDirect for £1500 if anyone's interested (its a Warwick Thumb 'Dirty Blonde' - perhaps the name is what's hooking me!) Not buying it but thought I'd post up in case anyone else fancies a pop

Beautifully put together but for me the Thumb shape has dated pretty badly

As a Thumb fan and previous owner of two NT's, I've never liked the look of these as much.

I'd still have one though!

My friend has this exact bass. And its what made me buy my Corvette. Its a fantastic bass and still looks great after well over 6 years.

f*** me, that's hideous (and I don't have the OPs aversion to "coffee table" basses).
I know they're incredibly popular, but Warwicks are undoubtably the most hideously ugly collection of basses I've ever seen.
The only nicely shaped one is the Streamer & that's because they stole the body design from Spector.

Don't the Corvette and FNA have the same body shape though?

I would like to try a thumb bass, I like some of the Warwick shapes but I don't get on with their skinny necks.

I do miss my Corvette $$ for its chunky neck and Fortress for its middy tone.
