I like the way the seller has gone to the trouble of dating the instrument whilst clearly not bothering to look at any photo's of what he is dating, I might message him and suggest it is actually a 1950's Hoover

I don't see the problem. It's obviously a Fender. You can tell by the iconic headstock shape.
