Machines Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Tried this out in GuitarGuitar in Brum a few days ago and was blown away. I had no intention of buying it but it left such an impression on me I couldn't stop thinking about it. 4 days later here it is ! Behold the Lakland 55-60 Ltd Editon Teal Metallic: [Img]http://s17.postimg.org/r7jpjnc1r/IMAG0228.jpg" class="ipsImage" /> Quote
tonyf Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 WOW. Flipping fantastic that.....I think I said earlier didn't I but you probably couldn't understand because of the dribble? Quote
LukeFRC Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 i'ld spotted that on the website and thought it looked like one of the nicest things I had seen! Quote
Musicman20 Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Ay, tried the one in Newcastle a few times. Great colour etc, although for me I don't think the 35" scale is my cup of tea. Quote
Dingus Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Lovely bass . The blocks and binding look really classy with that metallic finish . I am a big fan of Lakland basses , and the Hanson pickups on these basses are punchy as hell . The vintage- style frets are a nice touch , too . Hope you got a good deal on this one . Quote
hamfist Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Great colour. I'm a complete sucker for a green bass. Quote
Machines Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 Been playing it a lot this afternoon and it's still blowing me away. Absolute killer Jazz sound and the 35" scale allows the B to be just as articulated as the rest. I've never liked green basses before but this one is special. I couldn't miss out. Quote
discreet Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 This is NOT helping my Lakland GAS at all. Quote
Prime_BASS Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Always fancied a JO lakie, not too common round these parts though. Quote
Bassman Sam Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Very nice. Love a rosewood neck with white blocks. If your not going to be using the G & l, I'll store it for you, free of charge. Quote

lozbass Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Never been a fan of green (seafoam apart) but this is gorgeous! I hadnt played a Lakland until this week - I'm massively impressed with the quality - great attention to detail, great tone and playability Quote
ezbass Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 I think Lakland's description of metallic teal is a bit off the mark, more metallic sea foam green to my eyes, but that aside, what a looker, that's lovely, congrats. Quote
