sunneyboy Posted June 3, 2013 Share Posted June 3, 2013 Hi all This is my first post on this forum i usually lurk over at talkbass bass but I need some input from you Uk players out there. To try and cut a long story short. I am from South Africa and I have had a bass passed on to me by an older family member who lives up in scotland I will be heading up to fetch the bass from him mid June because he wants to get it out of the house. Now the crux of the post. I will not be able to bring it back to SA with me i allready have two basses in my flat and my wife will kill me if i bring another in here. never mind the fear of having detroyed by south african ground staff. so i need a safe place to store the bass in the UK for a few months until my sister who will be moving into a bigger house in london will be happy for me to keep the bass there. I have received a few qoutes from some storage facilities and the rates are way to expensive for me. 10 pounds a week. Do any of you know a string shop or luthier who may be willing to store the bass for me for a fair price until such time as I am able to move the bass to my sisters house. any help would be appreciated time is running out and i am worried i wont have a place to safely leave the bass.
