It's a real eye-opener if you read the chain of correspondence all the way through. Stag Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 (edited) I definitely wouldnt deal with them directly, and i actually like Rics! The only new Ric ive ever had from new had to go back to the shop and me getting my money back due to the paint shearing off the body near the bridge after a month's use. Certainly would thnk twice about ever buying a new one. And given Hall's recent shenanigans i would rather buy second hand. Interestingly one of the bridge pins fell out of that bass as well... QC at Ric appears to be poor which is a shame as the bass itself was an absolute delight to play (as Dood will testify to after giving it a workout when i bought it) Edited June 5, 2013 by Stag Quote

If just one person has decided not to buy a new Rick because of this thread , then they will need to sell a lot of screws to make up for that . You have to admire the sheer bloody - mindedness of this mob . They seem downright mental , and they don't seem to care a jot what anybody thinks about it . The more I hear about this man and his company , the more I like him . I'm getting interested in buying a Rickenbacker ! Quote
