Jigster Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Okay listen up, so Channel 4's Hollyoaks is the new epi centre of cutting edge post rock soundtracking. The first track of my band's new ep http://thoseamongstu...s.bandcamp.com/ was used in tonight's opening sequence. Quote
the_skezz Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 As happy as I am for you and as much as I'm enjoying listening to the music (very atmospheric, excellent material) I simply can't bring myself to congratulate someone for being involved with Hollyoaks in any way Seriously chuffed for you though Quote
Beer of the Bass Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 You too? Jen and the Gents have popped up a couple of times in the background of scenes. I think Jen punted a CD at somebody. We were paid the princely sum of five pounds for the privilege! I haven't watched it since 1997, so I'm taking the rest of the bands word for it. Quote

I hope the OP is both one of the songwriters of the piece and registered with the PRS. Quote
mike257 Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Happens quite a bit - some mates of mine have even showed up on stage in the background. The studios are just up the road from my house, maybe I should drop by with my bass and try and sneak in to a few shots! Quote
Pembo Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Heard it this evening in the background, missus loves her Hollyoaks!! Great stuff. I thought it was Explosions in the Sky/Mogwai/This Will Destroy You, upon first hearing. Right up my street... Quote
GarethFlatlands Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 My mum was on it once walking past in the background. Does that count? Quote
Judo Chop Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 That's good, nice one Does anyone know why it's set in Chester but the characters sound scouse and mancunian? Quote
Tankdave Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 (edited) Nice one, BTW it be full of cockney ex-eastender dross now, its complete toilet, apart from the music "of course" Edited June 5, 2013 by Tankdave Quote
Jigster Posted June 5, 2013 Author Posted June 5, 2013 Thanks for the thanks. Now for Corrie.... Quote
O' course, I was only being facetious (I am using that word right, aren't I? No time to check as off to Manchester in two seconds as soon as I tear myself from BC) Quote
