JimBobTTD
Wonderful! I can't get the "More Details" link to work, though. I would love to see more about the build.

Myke
Gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous! Edit.. Just looked at your website, that Mk4-5 (second from top) is amazing! May I ask how you worked out the angle of each fanned fret? Edited June 7, 2013 by Myke

blablas
All the parts are in for my next DIY build, does anybody want me to start a build diary here on BC? This is the plan: A fretted six string hollow body, 35 inch scale. The wood for the top. All the hardware parts.
Myke
Please do! I love watching a build happen. I actually want to start my own build but my skills will not be very good as it would be my first. But anyway, do it
blablas
I'm doing one in Dutch anyway, so the only thing extra I have to do for BC is translate it. blablas
A week ago I finally decided to make a shim, I just could not get the string low enough to my liking. I took a white plastic plate with a thickness of two millimeters and cut it exactly in the shape of the neck-pocket, now the strings can go as low as I want them. And this is how the fingerboard looks after two months of almost daily playing for a least an hour. The scratches you see are not real scratches, but where the string touches the fingerboard the stainless steel becomes extra shiny, you can see them but can not feel them. It's a successful project, the bass almost plays itself and the the sound is exactly as I expected. Now I need to leave it in the rack more and continue with the next build. tonyf
I've just spent a while on your website looking at the builds. Simply stunning. I absolutely love the 6-string headless. All the best Tony

JamesFlashG
how does it sound? hard to explain i imagine upload a clip if you can don't think i have heard a steel fretboard before - very nice work though just had a look around your website they all look great. blablas
It has the brightness and detail of a fretted bass but with the possibilities of a fretless, a wooden fretless fingerboard sounds more dampened and a bit warmer. Do a video search for LeFay Remington Steele for the sound, some of those gave me idea for this build.
