vmaxblues
HI All, This is a number I have covered for years in E, which works perfectly to get that necessary drone, also a great RSI test! However, new singer, song has been dropped to D, I am having a nightmare getting it to sound right, I am using a fiver to utilise the B string, but if any of you know any good tricks other than detuning (tried that, not right), or a drop d-tuner (haven't got one don't really want to fit one). Just thought I would ask Cheers Stuart
chris_b
We have to play it in D as well. I tried it on the 3rd fret with the low D on the B string but it didn't work, so I'm playing it an octave up on the fifth fret of the A string. It works well enough there. obbm
We also do it in D. I drop the E down to D with a Hipshot detuner.
