[s]I am selling my 1982 Ibanez Musician. Owned for 18 months.

I am after £700 for this bass, or very nearest offer.
I am interested in trades too, mainly interested in a Fender Precision with a maple fretboard in a 'sensible' colour, preferably P/J
Yamaha BB's are considered too, and I wont definitely say no to other basses, so ask away. 4 strings only!

I would also consider a Gallien Krueger cab, either the RBH series or the Neo series. Preferably a 115 or a 210/212

THE BASS
It comes with it's original hard case and Ibanez Limited Warranty Card, signed and dated for June 1982.

The electronics are all in top condition and haven't been tampered with or even looked at since I got it. There are a couple of tiny dinks on the top edge of the body (see the pictures) but nothing in any way derogatory to the appearance or playing of the bass. For something that's near on 31 years old it's in peak condition.

The bass strings were new a year ago and I haven't played it much, so they are still fairly fresh. The sound is great, it has a P/J pickup configuration, with a blend, volume and master tone knobs and a passive/active switch which engages a 3 band EQ (bass, mid, treble).

I'm in Worthing, near Brighton and I'm happy to drive a reasonable distance to exchange, or I'll ship if preferred, though I'll confirm prices in PM. Likely to be around £50. UK shipping only, unless you wish to organise your own transport.

The price I am asking for is £700 (PRICE DROP!!)[/s]

NOW WITHDRAWN. THANKS FOR THE INTEREST.

iv got one of these left handed and love it never realized how good they are till i bought one i play my ricky my musicman and a usa fender also 2 warwicks and my musician sounds as good if not better than any of them bit heavey but shows the amount of work it took to make it .I took mine to be set up at my local musicshop and they all commented on how good it was .If i was right handed and looking for a fantastic bass i would snap your hand of as they are becoming a collecters item. They dont make basses like this anymore good luck with the sale someone is going to get a real bargain .

Another bump.
Open to most trades! Anything 4 string will interest me!
Will even consider pedals... or cabs... maybe picks... hell a packet of biscuits would get my interest going at the moment.

EDIT: Just to reiterate... I don't want biscuits or picks.
But Gallien Krueger cabs or exciting pedals will still interest me.

Been getting some interest, nothings come through yet though! Here's a couple more pictures of the dents. Nothing too horrendous and all superficial!

Anyone?

Nice example !
Different pickups /controls (I have an extra p/up selector switch) to mine (photo below) - what were the periods for the different pickup types?

I'm not sure on the different periods of production, but there seems to be some mid-late 70's early 80's and mid 80's models as well as the recent anniversary models. They are lovely basses!

Why is this bass still on here? If only it were a lefty.

Have a bump for me and tell Sting to use his again for a few shows and then watch the PM's roll in.
