Jean-Luc Pickguard
Last time I got some It was from a computer fair. These days I use a canon inkjet to print directly onto (printable) CDs or use lightscribe. If you want to buy online, how about these? NancyJohnson
Make sure you go with a glossy option. we usually give away CDs after gigs...can I suggest that you download the ExpressIt software (free) to aid better printing. While it's great for printing, design your label in [a program like] Photoshop - it's pretty easy to make a square template with a layers showing non-printable areas then build your designs, then save the file as a hi-res jpeg and then pull it in ExpressIt. Works a treat. P
BigRedX
Personally I don't like labels on CDs, they can unbalance the CD and case it to play unreliably and at worst come off inside the CD player and mess it up completely. These days I don't allow any CD/DVD media with labels in any of my CD players/drives without removing the label and all the adhesive first. Go for printable CDs and a suitable inkjet printer like the Canon iP4500. Much more reliable and professional.

bennifer
Ditto, I won't let anything in my computer thats got a glued on label. Considering most Apple computers have slotload drives now, and I know quite a lot of people who have got budget labelled discs stuck in them, you might end up alienating half of your target audience with useless cds - get a printer and printable discs! WalMan
Depends what quantity you need to run. I use Lightscribe CD's and burn the details on for sending demo CD's for gigs. Only monotone, but looks good and doesn't leave you with a label that hasn't taken quite right, picked up an air bubble that won't go away, etc. I certainly wouldn't recommend that option for a bigger run though as it is quite slow to print up the label at good quality if you have a fair bit of info to add. Mr. Foxen
No idea how to google it, but there was a program that could draw stuff on the burnable side of the cd round the edge, provided you didn't use full capacity, gave you an image round the edge in the slight colour change of burnt cdr. If its freeware might add some novelty factor.
yorks5stringer
Our £1 shops in Bradford sell packs of 40 labels for a .........£1 but certainly not glossy and obviously not suitable for hi-fi buffs and Macs!
