Clarky
Set of barely used TI Flats (JF344: http://www.stringsdi...guitar-strings/). Very minor fraying of silk from stringing and de-stringing. On bass for a few days only, decided I prefer higher tension flats these days. £25 posted (they are now over £40 new) Edited June 9, 2013 by Clarky
Billy Apple
Oi Oi Clarky, have you cut these in any way?
Clarky
Hi Sean, nope, no cutting that I recall (and they were multiple times wound round the E and A on my Jazz bass, which supports my dodgy memory)
Billy Apple
All it is, is that I would have them for my through-body strung P Bass with a reverse head (as in the E is the longest string). If you think they'll fit, I'll have them.
Clarky
Why don't I send them to you and you pay if they fit. if they don't send em back? PM me your address Sean and I'll pop them in the post Monday - if thats good for you? Hitting sack now so will pick up PMs tomorrow Edited June 9, 2013 by Clarky
Clarky
Hey Sean, I measured the E and you might get a turn or two from the E string round the post if you have a reverse headstock but I wouldn't be 100% confident. I think you probably need an extra long E. Up to you mate ....

Legion
A generous offer mate but I'm not really sure! I've just been having a little string-fest on the tony franklin. I've still got a set of d'addario nylon tapes that you had on my original TF. Can't quite get my head around tapes - with my old fav set of sunbeams I can get that real mwaah out of it, I guess with a nice low action the tapes will do the same thing? Clarky
I tend to think of tapewounds as more thump than mwah, TBH. Much more double bass-y to my ears
