vrtcl Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 So after a while of lurking on these forums, just thought I'd actually make some use of my account and post on here. So anyway, I don't have much of an idea of what I should say, but hi, I'm Matt. I've been playing bass for like... what, 3 years now? Sadly, I'm not as good as I'd like to be, but he ho, there's always room for improvement. I own 3 basses, and being cursed as a left hander, I have no option but to love them. On forums (like talkbass, which is too American for me) I usually spend most my time lurking and reading, so don't expect to see me on top posters list any time soon! Anyway nice to speak to you all, even if this is a bit brief and awkward. Oh yeah, and I'm into rock / alt-rock / indie (b-town!) Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I don't blame you if you click straight off. Hell, you might not even have read this far. Quote
discreet Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Yeah, I read that far. Welcome to the forum Matt. Quote
BassTractor Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Hell, you might as well not have written it that far at all, coz I didn't. But welcome anyway! It wasn't awkward at all. Nice read, in my personal [s]fact[/s] opinion. Three basses after three years seems about right. At this speed, in just 54 years from now, you'll have 57 basses, and that should be a great inheritance for the kids. Go as you went, man. Always prioritise the kids! Enjoy the show! best, bert Quote
vrtcl Posted June 9, 2013 Author Posted June 9, 2013 Well thanks guys, making a newbie like me feel welcome! If that's the case then bert, I'm in for a pretty expensive few years! Oh and I also spend lots of time stalking ebay / gumtree for amps that I'll never buy. That's okay, right? Quote

Not that that would be a bad thing... Quote
grumble Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013
Sadly, I'm not as good as I'd like to be, but he ho, there's always room for improvement.
I think that most people on here feel the same in that respect, welcome to the majority . Quote

GuitarTart Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 And we mostly speak proper English although I suspect the spell-checker is a Yank! Myk Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 A big welcome from Basschat's chief left-handed activist, Matt! Quote
