I'm going with Howard now. Shame I can't get a real gold anodised one for less than £170. I got the Strat one for about £20.

Right I'm going with Uncle Horrid. He's got a great idea how to make the metal-capped black plastic material look damn good and as close to an anodised one as is possible with this stuff. Thanks Howard!

I'm getting a genuine Fender Strat one, so when they're both fitted in a months time, I will post pics and my thoughts on how close the looks are between them. From my searches it seems plenty of people are after one of these in gold anodised (very expensive and hard to get) so if I can direct them to Howard for a cheaper but similar looking option it's a double win.

The genuine Fender Strat gold anodised PG arrived from the States today. It looks beautiful and was a perfect fit. Can't wait for the Jazz to get one.

It looks better in the flesh than in that pic. Horrid is getting started on my Jazz PG in a week, I'm excited It's great fun pimping a Fender. That's what I like about them!

Horrid has delivered on his word The gold plastic fake anodised PG looks wicked! In most ways I prefer it to the real one on my Strat which has a kind of rosy tint and a matt brushed finish, this plastic one is more gold and although there's a glossy top coat, the brushed finish looks pretty convincing. Horrid had to go round the edge with a gold marker to cover the black plastic backing and it looks damn good. From a few feet away you'd assume it was a metal PG. I love it!

I'll try anything twice

Just made my own version of 'Aurora'? sauce to go on a prawn sandwich Salad cream, Tomato sauce, Hot Chilli sauce, Lea Perrings, Hot Tabasco, Cayenne powder. Blend until pink then slap it on your prawns

No fire extinguisher required just a pint of Vintage English Cider

I much prefer the all in one PG than the separate control plate look on the Jazz.
