All the bracing and blocks are glued to the back.

Finished the access cover transition to the body and mounted it.

Next step, sanding flat the back, roughing up the front side and gluing on the top.

Decided to give the final straight edge of the access cover a binding as well.


Glued a reinforcement rib on the inside of the top, also drilled the small holes in the top (and back) for the toothpicks to align the top when gluing. Edited by blablas

At last after 1.5 weeks of preparing and gluing, today I've been happily busy with shaping the outside.

Sanded the outer body contour, routed the radius on the edge of the body and and routed out the soundholes.

Decided on the position where the knobs and switches should come and drilled the holes for these.
Centered the holes for the single string bridge parts.


Rough cut the wood for the neck.
Wenge fingerboard, maple/wenge/maple/wenge/maple neck, merbau - with body matching walnut top - headstock. Edited by blablas
