EndofSilence
Price Reduction: £650 + free p&p Warwick Streamer Custom (Early 90s) 5-string Neck-through 35 inch scale Bubinga Body Wenge Fingerboard Wenge/Bubinga Neck MEC Pickups MEC electronics Gold Hardware Red LEDs on the side of the fretboard I don't know much about this bass but I believe it may be an old Warwick Streamer Stage 2 Custom due to the feel and appearance of the body resembling afzelia. I do know that it was once owned by Charlie Jones, bassplayer for Robert Plant's solo project and Page/Plant and was used on one of their tours. Everything is in good working order bar a repair job that the previous owner had done to the back of the neck. While the repair itself isn't sloppy and doesn't affect the sound, the feel of the neck does change slightly when one runs their hand over it. It comes with strap, straplocks and a hardcase. Delivery is free if in the UK. If not then I'll split the shipping. UPDATE: Taken to a second luthier and found that the repairs had affected the trussrod. Even at full tightness the neck is still bowed. Kev
Interesting bass at a great price! Such a shame they didn't source a darker wood for the repair.
W11ATO
I'm sure that could be re-repaired quite easily by the likes of Howard or someone equally skilled and made to look much more "original"

mart
Nice bass. But I have to ask: is the body really bubinga? It's just that there have been so many rumours of a bubinga-bodied Streamer and yet, every time when the photos have been posted, it turns out that it's afzelia that has darkened with age. I've looked hard at the photos here, and it does look a lot like the bubinga used in Corvettes, but I'm not that familiar with afzelia. Plus there's the fact that several people on TalkBass said it was bubinga: surely that's evidence for it being afzelia.

bagsieblue
Would be interested to know the story behind the repair and the need for repair. Is it related to Warwick pre volute necked basses and the weakness around this area?

EndofSilence
I honestly don't know as all the previous owner said was that it was damaged in an accident. Should also emphasise that I'm nearing the completion of a sale at the moment. Edited June 17, 2013 by EndofSilence

[/quote] It is a great price, but it's no use to me - it's got the wrong number of strings and the wrong number of frets (i.e. it's not fretless). Besides, I think 5 Warwicks is enough, even for me. EndofSilence
Bump. I had the bass taken to a second luthier recently and they concurred with Warwick that the neck had split and it had affected the trussrod even with the repairs. The exact problem is that even at full tightness the neck is still bowed. I'll update the main thread with this. I apologise for taking so long with the update.
