tanuki Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 This is an amazing reliced RS Guitarworks P Bass, Lindy Fran Pickup, made from aged wood with an amazing tone.. I know relics split people down the middle but this one is good, the neck felt just as comfortable as a '64 precision i was playing in denmark street, it is also than nice in-between profile.. Just cant afford to keep it, last in first out and all that! There is a load of info and pics of this exact bass at the RS Guitarworks website.. Hopefully this link will work... http://www.rsguitarworks.net/cms/index.php...78&Itemid=1 Here are some more pics anyway... this bass is incredibly reliable, played it for 3 months on a theatre job, 2 shows a day and didn't have to tune it once! any interest?
paul, the Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 I'd pay pretty much anything for that if it was in a lighter blue. Would be interested to know how much it goes for.
tanuki Posted June 5, 2008 Author Posted June 5, 2008 heres one of me playing it at shamballa festival last year..
mathewsanchez Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008
offers around £900
The website says "The Old Friend Contour Basses are designed to give you that vintage look, feel and sound without paying an arm and a leg." Sadly my arms and legs are only worth £500 tops... oh well, good luck with the sale.
Mickeyboro Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 (edited) Sorry mate, that's what I'd call a limb excuse! Edited June 5, 2008 by Mickeyboro
queenofthedepths Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008
. . You can ALL get you coats !
That's a highly insensitive remark, considering that those of us who have spent our limbs on basses can no longer wear coats!
the hand of john curley Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 That is a truly stunning bass...... Don't suppose you'd want to trade for 15 month old twins?????!!!!!!!!

tanuki Posted June 6, 2008 Author Posted June 6, 2008 Funnily enough i am currently thinking of selling another bass i have to a friend who apparently keeps having dreams about owning it and at the moment i am trying to make a deal for the bass in return for his cat Janet (very nice cat!) i think he'd go for it if it wasnt for the fact it belongs to his girlfriend!
tanuki Posted June 6, 2008 Author Posted June 6, 2008 Also i'd consider partial trade for a Reverend Rumblefish..
tanuki Posted June 9, 2008 Author Posted June 9, 2008 Bump before it goes to the bay.. Financial crisis means i cant mess around! Make me an offer, every reasonable offer considered..
