I am considering selling my Warwick Fortress Masterman.... but I do not know how to value it! There is not much information about them anywhere.

Has anyone got an idea on value/valuations or what would be a good trade? or who I can ask?

A German Fortress in fair condition should fetch around £350 to £400, I thought they stopped making the Fortress in the late 90's though?

Yes, I questioned Hans @ Warwick about the date of manufacture. Apparently, some were custom ordered, then the order was cancelled and the bass was just sold on as standard. Some were made from left of stock of production runs.

Interestingly; my Masterman has the incorrect truss rod cover (states 'Warwick Fortress One') and an ABM adjustable nut. Which suggests that mine was made from leftover parts. I think that the ABM nut was only used on early models.

Thanks guys,

I was after a trade for an MM Stingray, but I am not sure - the Warwick seems to have more capability and a wider range of tones. I use an MM Sterling sub as a 'rough pub' bass (The California/USA version) that I got for a steal; £200....it is a good bass, but I think that the Warwick has more usability.
