I recently got married, and the wife chose the song "nothing else matters" to walk down the ailse to.
I think she just earned herself a couple of extra "cool points". In my eyes at least. What about everyone else?

She's a keeper!

One friend chose Jeff Buckley Hallelujah, which some of us found odd due to the dark lyrics. Another friend also chose that tune when getting married in Sweden. We went over to perform at the ceremony but we decided to change the dark lyrics to better suited ones, (sorry Leonard).

I'm not married yet, though I reckon my better half may chose Beach Boys or Neil Young.

Hallelujah is a great song, but yeh i suppose on a day such as your wedding, the lyrics are quite important!
I found this out when i wanted The Roots - Seed 2.0 as our first dance! Denied! I suppose that would qualify as a song not suited for a wedding!!
Space chick, no music and no aisle, but doing it in vegas is cool enough. Yoou dont need any musical accompaniment!

The intro to "Heart of Lothian" by Marillion! Mrs C (mk II) was born in Edinburgh...

"At church" by Novak during the ceremony - which is ironic as we weren't married "at church" but in my in-laws garden in Fife overlooking the Firth of Forth and Bass Rock B)

The bit from 1.55 on here...

First dance was Sweet Love by Anita Baker (which dates us a lot! 1991 it was) - aaaaaahhh

We got married in my mums garden in the Cotswolds. Typically british weather but we got a small window of beautiful sun during the ceremony and for the photos, then it rained.

My wife to be walked down the 'aisle' to Elbow's 'Great Expectations'

Lyrically perfect for a lot of reasons

Walked out to "something for the weekend" by The Divine Comedy.
Last couple of lines are "gagged & bound & left for dead, when he woke, she was gone with his car & all of his money!"
Made us laugh at the time & yes, we are still happily married 15 years later.
Although if we were to do it now it would probably be to something by The Fall. ;-)

We had my wifes godson playing the organ in the church. Been playing piano for 20 odd years and was regularly roped into doing churchy stuff, so certainly knows his way round the keys.
We had the generic wedding stuff entering the church, but on the way out we had a mixture of Meatloafs I'd do anything for love, Let me entertain you, some abba song and back in black. The regular churh organist look horrified at what he was doing!
