BassTractor
I'm sure I've seen it on BC, but can't exactly search on bass looks. Ped, Kiwi! Here's a job for you! ...and sorry to be one of your detractors. Anyway, I'm sure it's a known bass, but could anyone tell me what name it lives by? best, bert

BassTractor
Thanks, guys! Glad to know I can't afford it, as it sounded very nice. That bass has a characteristic I love: it really wants to play, just like any other good instrument. BTW, that guy is Jan Erling Holberg, a Norse bassist who has a project, aptly named Jan Holberg Project, involving Joe Lynn Turner, and it's on Norse TV from this evening, as a series. Looking forward to it. Must be the first ever series about a bassist who's bored with everyday office life, and despite being a family father, chooses to follow his muse at age 47 (all the others I've seen are about people aged 46). Thanks again! best, bert
Chris2112
The biggest shame is that Jan used to have a few videos of him on youtube, wherein he was just sitting at home playing some cool stuff on his Kubicki, the tone was incredible. I've just searched for them now and sadly they seem to have been taken down.
BassTractor
That would have been nice to have heard. If I find some contact info, I'll ask him for them. Will let you know how it went. Coincidentally, on a Dutch bass forum, a guy posted a track to compare the Ex Factor with the Bongo H and a TRB6. I went straight for the Ex Factor, and I'm the sad loser with the four Bongos. :-) b, b
Chris2112
Could you link us to the comparison? As I love the sound of Kubicki basses and Yamaha TRB's and I'd love to hear the recording.
BassTractor
Sorry, should have thought of that right away of course. The thread, in Dutch, is here: http://basgitaarforum.nl/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=48720 and the mp3 is behind the large fonted word "KLIK" under the picture of the basses, or here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16926252/Mp3s/Instrumenten/Bassic%20conversation.mp3 Now the stereo isn't perfect, but from left to right: Bongo, TRB6, Ex Factor b, b
