fender corona 1985 on ebay looks very fake?

is this in any way real ?it looks really dodgy to me any thoughts

It's a fake, it's been on fairly recently and possibly being sold on. The proportions of the headstock are wrong, decal is more like a Precision Standard, finish looks cheap like an affinity Squier. Machine heads are Grover titans, trussrod adjustment is from the wrong era, blah, blah.....

truss rod adjustment body end but it doesnt look like an sq or jv to me

It's a 'stealth listing' note the heavy use of the word 'style' - not actually claiming to be anything so operating within eBay rules. Reasonable quality cheapo with added tantalising JV kudos.....avoid!

So it's a Fullerton with a Corona neck plate??

It's a Precision type bass with a Fender neck plate and decal and some better quality hardware. Probably.

So it seems he's also telling white lies as well, saying he's looked after it when really he's bought it of some other bloke and trying to sell it on well over the original price he got it for (£350) - he's already sold the free laney amp that was included by the original owner for £45..
I hope someone doesn't get ripped off thinking its a genuine.
