Price drop to £1750

I am reluctantly putting my 1974 Jazz up for sale. All original, save for the thumbrest which I added for a bit of extra authenticity (FWIW the thumbrest is from a 70s reissue).

The pots date this to '73, but the thumbrest on the bass side would suggest 1974 or very early 1975 when the last four bolt necks came in. As ever with 70s Fenders, these are all a bit of an estimate, but this will certainly be one of the last four bolt Jazzes before the three bolt was introduced.

I'm selling to fund another purchase so I'm not really looking for trades. That having been said, feel free to try me. I could certainly be tempted by deals involving a Stingray HS or HH. I might also be tempted by good quality Fender or Ric guitars.

Happy to provide further photos on request.

I would rather arrange collection (and am happy to travel to meet up within reason).

Does this have the U-shaped neck, if so how does it feel as I may be buying one of those American Vintage 74's that does have the U shape.

I've never played one of the American reissues, so can't really comment on how they compare.

But this one has a slim and relatively shallow C profile. A bit too slim for my hands, as I'm more used to chunky Precision and Stingray necks.

confused now , is the bass for sale?
Yes, sorry for any confusion! It is definitely back up for sale. I withdrew it a month or so ago, but I've decided to put it back up.

Gust0o kindly unlocked the old thread for me, rather than me having to post all of the pictures again :)

Such a nice bass.

Are you SURE you don't want to trade with my 1982 pre-Ernie Ball Stingray? :)
Sorry - already got my ideal Stingray! Although an HH would be tempting...

great bass whats the weight
It's around 10lbs, so average for a 70s Jazz. The one you've got up for sale looks fantastic - there's a glut of nice 74 Jazzes on here at the moment!
