Cheapish '77 Fender P Not so "original 1970's..." but what was it/is it?

This caught my eye as it's a lovely colour!

.....doesn't seem very "original 1970's vintage american Fender bass" to my eyes?

So what was it/is it?

description sorta says.....it may/may not have started as a fretless, the body has been fitted with an additional jazz pup of non-matching colour
