karlfer
Very tempted by this but something doesn't ring true. Any thoughts please? Cheers, Karl. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130933892252?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
ash
The machine heads are Gotoh replacements I'd say. Also it has dot markers and I believe 70s models - as this purports to be - would have pearl blocks and binding. The addition of EMGs and stack pots ads to the conundrum. I wouldn't.... karlfer
Cheers Ash. I'm also thinking ebony board and 62'RI stackpots not right as I didn't think the first 62 RI's were until late 80's?
Muzz
Ask him if it weighs a quarter of a ton. If it does, it might be a genuine 78... Seriously, though, it doesn't look right to me - my 78 was, as Ash says, block and bound. I'd like to see the neck plate, too - should be a micro-tilt. No bullet truss rod adjuster, either...nope, the more I looky, the less I likey...
