Make sure you pack it well. But before you do, what does actually need to be done?

There's a comment about the truss rod. What's that about?

Also, are you looking to change the colour or something?

the nut on the truss rod is slightly stripped but servicable, thats all i said, they asked for some photos and they sent back the quote as u see it!!!
£500+pp for a setup etc! wowsers!!!!

Yep, depending on the model you have that could make it cheaper to buy a new (used) bass!
Have you asked Warwick if they will sell you the parts?

Most of that cost is, 'RE 00031 Comp.grind off and revise OF body' what is that all about? I don't think the truss rod replacement cost is that bad if it is done at the factory and carries a manufacturers warranty (fingerboard removal and if there is a problem then that is tough as they have 'quoted' you a price whereas some local repairer might then bump the cost). Saying that if it is a knackered nut then that cost regardless of body work is just silly!

I was curious about that too. If it's about getting off the Oil Finish for a change of finish, then it's a time consuming job, but it doesn't entail what I'd call "grinding". When I've removed the OF it mostly involves washing and sanding.
