Earbrass Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 (edited) Following on from the "I think I've fallen for another instrument" thread, I just discovered the Finnish Kantele. I should warn you that you should skip to 5.00 minutes into the video, as the first section contains footage of a slightly sinister-looking man doing unspeakable things to a harmonium, and is not for the squeamish. The video concludes with two men playing mandolins, which is very jolly in its way, but the section beginning at 5.00 is, i think, something a bit special. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuuDQOyUqDU Edited March 24, 2014 by icastle Link fixed. alyctes Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I really liked all of that. After the first minute of Harmonium Bloke I started thinking "this would go well on hammer dulcimer", and then the kantele lady reinforced that. The Mandolin Men were fine too. And, now I know what the Clangers' Music Boat is Quote
