Repairs to the US

I have a piece of kit I want to send back to the manufacturer in the US for repair. Am I going to get smacked for taxes when it comes back in?

Should do, just need correct doc to say you brought it and already paid the tax,
As tax dept break ya legs then ask for the money and no sorries when wrong
