Brother Jones Posted June 30, 2013 Share Posted June 30, 2013 (edited) A slice of serious Aria Pro II goodness bought from fellow BC'er in 2006. Through-neck, Paduak Red. It's VGC but not perfect. The pots are a bit scratchy, and it could definitely do with a new jack plug. Finish wise, the only problem is that someone has put a screw in the top horn strap button that's very slightly too long and has pushed through the other side of the horn by about 1mm or so - although this is not visible. They don't look it, but these basses are passive, with probably the most versatile passive set up I've ever player. Two volumes, coil tap for each P/U and a tone control that seems to have far more range than any I've ever used. It's more like a kind of Q-control. The 24 fret through-neck is a joy. The whole thing is a kind of poor man's Alembic, and I'm very sad to see it go. Buyer collects please - I'm in Kingston, Surrey. Very welcome to have a try and a cuppa. Could meet in central London. Brother Jones Posted July 1, 2013 Author Share Posted July 1, 2013 Sorry Noel - are you accusing me of deliberately misleading people? This bass was sold to me as an SB Elite II. The other listings I set out (which you ignore) describe absolutely identical basses as SB Elite IIs. One goes so far as to say it's a 1984. The other, which remains for sale, has gone uncommented upon by you. What's your game here? You could have PM'd me. If I have misled, then I apologise, but it certainly wasn't deliberate.
