G&L SB1/SB2 in or near Sussex

I've got a hankering for a G&L SB-1 or SB-2 really liking the sound of them on Youtube, but have never tried one in the flesh - who lives fairly close RH19 (East Grinstead, West Sussex) have one I could try out? I can bring beer / wine / doghnuts with me and any of my gear you might want to give a go.

I really like the idea of one of these, but want to see if it's "just" GAS or if it will be right for me, cheers.

I have an SB-2 its the mutts lovely sound lovely feel nice weight but I think I am much to far from you to try it but it is a fantastic bass I love it

Hhow do you use the dual volume controls and what sort of tone do you go for?

I set them both at about 12 oclock I find that good for me its hard to try and describe the tone as everyone has different ideas on it but I would say I get a nice warm punchy rock sound with the settings I use mine also has an upgraded seymour SB1 pickup but I just love this bass I have tried a lot of other basses similair to this and they don't come close to the G+L for me maybe I am biased but all I know is it is just such a joy to play and sounds great looks pretty good too

I have an old SB1 and love it. The pups are hugely powerful and with DR highbeams it growls in a very pleasing way.

Cheers Garry, I'll keep that in mind, see if I can persuade the wife that disappearing for a few hours one evening is a good idea (feel free to make a whipped noise).
