Hi folks,

Having JUST bought this from richardd (deal with confidence, he's a top bloke), I've gotta move it on quickly as I've just landed myself a rather nice old Squier that I'm so happy with.

This is a superb bass - it's got the real feel of a good old Jazz, regardless of what you consider about the relicing (which is the standard Fender stuff, it's not been added to) the body resonates in a way that modern Jazzes just don't. The neck is stunning too and I was considering popping it onto the Squier but I'm not going to.

It's an awesome thing that I love to bits but just cannot justify it at all.

So, grab it while you can. Collection only or personal delivery anywhere between Manchester and Leeds for petrol money. Comes with hard case.

Yeah, comes with a bog standard hard case and I can post, but it'd take a few days to organise as I'd want to make sure I could get the stuff to package it up properly!

Postage would be about £15 + insurance via Interparcel?

I think the query is because there is generally a little circular rout under the pick guard and they are stamped 'road worn' to distinguish them from the standard reissues. Lovely bass by the way!

It wouldn't really be a deal breaker, unlike a big route around the neck pickup. That round cnc hole could easily be covered by a Hello Kitty sticker or something ;)

Sure it's not! And at that killer price, it's not a big hole in your bank account ;) !

Cool! No ugly swimming pool around the pickup :)
I see more people wanting this bass and to be honest I still haven't decided between this and one of the marcuses here, but I may give you a shout in a few days when my tax return cheque clears ;) if you still have it, that is!

Under scratchplate:

What is the circular hole under the scratch plate for? Mine doesn't have that and the road worn stamp is a bit higher.

I've read somewhere that the first run of RWs in 2008 didn't have that hole, yours might be from that era, maldy. Officially, it's some sort of a guide for cnc machines. But really, it's there to stash things while going through customs at an airport.

With regards to customs, maybe they should make the hole bigger then! ;-)

You are absolutely right my bass is probably 2008-2009 judging from the serial no.

Anyway, great bass and I've already passed this on to a few friends. Good luck with the sale.
