Elvis Valentine
Hey folks, Got me a 415 a while ago , it was my first 5 string. It turns out i dont really get on with the extra string. However i really like the bass, look, feel, sound, playability etc i just dont ever find myself using the extra B. I was hoping i would be able to swap for either a 414 or 424 (X) However one of the things i love about the 415 is the matching headstock. Is this something they only did for the 414 or 415? It seems like such a shame. Also if anyone does have any of the above 4 stringers they fancy swapping let me know but this isnt a swap thread. Cheers. such
yes, they only did that for 414, 415, 614 and 615, not for the newer lines. Well, more expensive ones like BB3000 had matching headstocks too. You shouldn't have a problem finding a 414 for little money. I find necks on them more comfortable (slightly slimmer, fretboard edges more rolled) than on 424, if less stiff.
