Roland Rock Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013
Sigur Ros
Good call. I saw these a couple of months back; a really lovely experience Quote
EssentialTension Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013
My fantasy Glastonbury, would be to get rid of the huge muddy fields and to be able to see all my favourite bands in a good sub 500 capacity venue with a well-stocked bar.
Yes, and snacks. Quote
steve-soar Posted July 4, 2013 Author Posted July 4, 2013
Headliners: Tom Jones, Elton John, The Who Pyramid Stage - other: Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Peter Gabriel, Blink 182, David Bowie, Elbow, The Blues Brothers, Johnny Cash, Aretha Franklin Small stages: Immortal Technique, Dream Theater, Methany Meldau Quartet, M83, Sigur Ros, Mogwai, Etta James, Dr. Feelgood That'll have to do for now. I could literally come up with like 100 artists I'd like to see at Glasto! Truckstop
Immortal Technique, oh yes. Quote
bobbass4k Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013
Mine would be to get rid of the BBC and all the corporate bullshit that promotes the mediocre music.
While I hate to disagree with someone who puts Cardiacs, Swans, Godflesh and Cocteau Twins on any sort of list, the BBC introducing stage has put some great bands on and given them some decent exposure.
Fair point. My point about the BBC is that they have a monopoly of who is who. My point is do away with all TV coverage and let the punters tell their friends. It's fantasy, go with me. Quote

Dave Vader Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 I won't remember the music anyway, so anyone you like, shrink it down a bit, and make it affordable, and not enjoyed by middle-aged, middle class types (such as myself). Or the Dead, Dad may be right on that one.... Quote

Truckstop Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Watershed's a cracking album! The Lotus Eater and Hex Omega are two of my favourite Opeth numbers. Still Life's still the favourite though. The whole album is a masterpiece. Would love to see White Cluster performed live. Truckstop Quote
