Clarky
These are £115 plus post at Thomann http://www.thomann.d...pirocore_02.htm Mine are almost new, just a bit of fuzzing on the red silks (no exposed metal at the peg end). Reflecting their excellent condition, I will sell at £80 including post within UK. Only selling as I am sticking with Danny Thompson signature strings on my 1880s flatback (a bit of hero worship!) Rabbie
Great deal as usual from Clarky. It's so true that different strings marry different basses. These are not so good on mine, but I played a fine bass tonight with Spiro mittels on and it totally blew me away: what a tone! Have a bump on me Clarky! Clarky
Thanks Roberto! To be honest, there's minimal difference in tone and playability between Danny Thompson strings and Mittels bar the latter having a bit more growl. However I need to settle on one set for my flatback (my smaller bodied Kolstein has Spiro Weichs on), hence my vgc Mittels are FS
