This is my gigging rig with in my opinion the most transparent but flexible preamp Ive ever used, I like it so much that the whole rig has never changed in 20 years, except for replacing a DBX 163x with the DBX 160.

This is my house preamp, Aguilar TLC into this and into a 76 Bassman. I just use this for a bit warmth.

When I record i use the top rig as one signal, the TL Audio as another, DI off the pickups and lastly through a Sansamp. :gas:

Ohh..I'll get me camera....

That took a few days, but here's my ultimate solution,

Alembic F2B running into SWR MR Tone Controls. Very different flavours, but they work so well together and make using two different instruments a lot easier. Signal then goes into a passive DI, but the SWR also has an XLR out I keep forgetting to use.

Would a "vintage" Trace Elliot GP11 be too boring? Personally I would consider it a true classic, and one of the first dedicated bass preamps but I know opinions may differ.

I suppose it could look ott but if you equate it to a graphic it's only 8 bands. That said, it's a lot more flexible, the reason I've got a second is so I can have two basses eq'd differently so I'll be bypassing one preamp to use the other and vise versa.

Awesome collection!

I use the SVP-CL and SVP-PRO too, love both of them.
