dickieguitar
Apologies if this is a daft question. My late-80s StingRay has a detuner. It's a good match for the other three (original) tuners in terms of styling and ageing, but it's marked Fender. I can't quite square that up. Was there a period when Fender and Musicman tuners were virtually identical? [attachment=138651:stingraytunersE1.jpg]
cocco
Every musicman I've ever had has had Schaller BM type tuners, fenders all seem to be different.
LeftyJ
Hipshot does sell some oddball Xtenders with tuners of other brands mounted on them. These include Gotoh, Schaller and Fender. But I've never seen this type before. It has the dimensions of a BT-1, but a Fender tuner (well, rebranded Schaller I think) mounted on it is something unusual. dickieguitar
Any idea what that means in terms of bass compatibility? I'm thinking about screw holes...
