My number 2 bass for many years, it's been taken to a lot of gigs but not used unless I broke a string or just fancied a change. It's an absolutely lovely bass, diamond inlays, binding up the neck, neck thru mahogany.

2 custom Bill Lawrence Pickups, I had the bass rewired professionally when I first got it as stock these come passive, master volume, front volume, rear volume, master tone. I had it change to front volume, rear volume, front tone, rear tone. Additionally I had a push pull put on the first volume knob so you could coil split the front pickup. It was only recently when having it setup by another tech that I learned the reason we never did the same on the rear pickup is one coil isn't working, now I've never noticed because the bass sounds so big and full. I've toyed with getting a replacement but end of the day there isn't really a proper replacement for a handwound 70's bill lawrence pickup so I've left it, it sounds so good as it is but this is why the bass is so low priced considering it's rarity. There is actually a replacement available but the company is only Bill Lawrence in name and he's had nothing to do with them for such a long time.

It's the brown/tabacco burst one on the right (though the blue one on the left is also for sale)

I'll get some more pictures tonight

So it's been professionally setup with a set of Overwater standard guage stainless steel rounds, the neck is nice and straight, I had the truss rod nut replaced recently as the last one had been stripped over the years so there is now plenty of adjustment left in the neck (please note there is no issue with the neck, truss rod, I just had the bit you put an allen key in replaced as it was a bit worn).

I've added a Schaller style Hipshot de-tuner (though original tuner will be included)

As this didn't come with a case and I had two for my other Overwater original (also for sale) so this comes with either a fitted Aluminium ATA case or an original late 70's leather covered Overwater hardcase (the other bass has the same option so it will be very much a first come, first serve)

This is one of Chris May's early basses a real rarity and going for an absolute bargain.

Not looking for any trades at the moment

Weight is about 10.5lbs, I only have a scale with a needle and it weighs me very accurately but obviously allow for some variance.
