BIMM Summer Schools

I'm doing the Bristol Music Radar and the Brighton Metal Hammer in August. Anyone else going or appearing or teaching at these?

Thanks for mentioning this, MrF, I didn't know about the courses. Linkies below.

The Metal Hammer one would be right up my street (despite being in Brighton, durr...) if I had the time and the money, and if the thought of getting out of the bedroom and playing with others didn't scare the bejeesus out of me

Go for it..I'm going to be right out of my comfort zone and ability but what the hell.. It's all good experience. Metal Hammer is going to be really difficult as I've never used a pick and I need more fingers :-0

Bummer I'm going to miss one or both as I'm flying back from Kos tonight for a knee operation on Friday and I'll be off sick for 2/3 weeks :-( so happens that I've had a 3 cm tumour in my knee joint for over a year. They found it last Friday and wanted to operate immediately. Sod that, I needed to fly out last Saturday.

So happens the tumour was 2 inches long in my knee joint and attached to the bone and the patella tendon. I was off work for 6 weeks followed by 3 months physio and I've got to start more physio on the tendon when I get back from Cyprus. Good thing though is that although BIMM could have forfeited my £600, they kindly shifted me to this year so I'm doing 2 weeks in Bristol in August. Any one else going? Looking forward to it with a guest appearance from Yolanda :-)
